Coldstream is a Bellevue and Seattle-based wealth management and financial planning firm. They are exactly the kinds of people that you’d want to come to with complex and important questions about investing and managing your finances. They are smart, dependable and they genuinely care about the people they work with. We wanted to give them an online experience that conveyed all of that—including the diverse and sometimes complex array of services they offer—without overwhelming users.
The project started with a complete refresh and redesign of their brand identity, which was done by our talented friend Andrew Wicklund. (Andrew rocks!) The new identity is a modern classic, incorporating beautiful imagery, custom artwork, and a pattern library inspired by the security patterns found on currency and financial documents. From there, Tiny Whale took over, working closely with Coldstream to architect, design and develop a new, custom WordPress site. Additionally, our photographer Jenn Repp (Jenn rocks!) shot new headshots for all of Coldstream’s nearly 50 employees.
The site had a lot of work to do, and operating within a strict regulatory environment was a new challenge for us, but in the end it only encouraged us to hew closely to our vision of a clean and elegant vehicle for brand storytelling and customer engagement.
